This is Al's Airworld Hawk T1 that he had built to compete in Top Gun USA 2006. Built by American builder Henry Nuygen to Als Specifications, it features many unique touches that Henry crafted himself. Such as: Scale side hinged canopy, operational opening front hatches, operational kick in steps, and operational drop down step. As well as scale vents and APU exhausts, and the scale inner flap detail.
The model scored very well in static and was et to gain a high place in team scale but technical issues hampered it's progress. Hopefully next year it and Al will get an invite back to top gun to compete again. The model is powered by an AMT Pegasus HP turbine and weighs in at 18.5 kg dry. Carries nearly 5 litres of fuel and is operated by JR radio going through a powerbox systems 40/24 professional powerbox.
