Another new model for this season is Al’s Jet Provost.
This particular example is painted in colours of a ServiceMaster based in New Zealand. The model started as a kit from Jet World Germany. It was purchased 3 years ago whilst Al was at a Trade show in Europe. Subsequently Al’s Hobbies have become Jet World dealers in the Uk and are able to offer these fine kits to those that are interested.
The model was built by Steve King (Pictured behind the model) Steve paid special attention to making a neat installation which when you consider how much equipment there is fitted in that nose section was no mean feat.
Steve built two identical models with the objective of flying together with Al as a syncro pair.
The models weigh 39lbs and carry 5 litres of Fuel. They are 100” Wing span and are powered by Amt Pegasus turbines that produce 34 lbs of thrust.
Each model is fitted with 5 Bright halogen spot lights, Smoke, Flaps, Gear doors and wheel brakes.
Al has already displayed this model at a number of events this season and is very impressed with the good feed back from the public.
Steve’s Provost has completed 2 flights with Steve taking control on flight two. We think that he was happy with three years worth of work
